ENGINE

blade3d engine

Blade3D is a new, powerful engine that we chose to use In order to quickly and easily accommodate the listening code written in C#, a game engine that supported C# code needed to be chosen. XNA, an API for DirectX, seemed to be the obvious choice, as it was written entirely in C#. To give us a better interface for developing Lazybrains, Blade3D, an IDE for XNA, was selected for its ability to utilize 3D assets with XNA.

Developed by Digini, Blade3D has been in development over the past few years, and while only on its "Industry Preview" release, this development environment has proven to be the best choice for Lazybrains. With the engine being in an unfinished state, the developers at Digini have been working with us and pledged to prioritizing their development according to Lazybrain's needs.
